You are invited to join a circle of noted philanthropists and community leaders to help pioneer the Wellness Campus to transform the lives of 700 unhoused people annually.
With a clear path for funding the senior housing, we now turn to you and our larger community to consider an investment towards the medical respite, health clinic, and resource center building.
The Wellness Campus has attracted early financial support from Kaiser Permanente, The California Endowment, Alameda County Health Care Services Agency, Alameda County Housing and Community Development, the California Wellness Foundation, Anthem Foundation, Sutter Health, and California Health Care Foundation, Stupski Foundation, the Arlene and Michael Rosen Foundation and the San Francisco Foundation
I’m so pleased we were able to secure state funding to support the Alameda Wellness Campus. This first-of-its-kind project providing healthcare, permanent supportive housing and end-of-life care for our county’s homeless residents, medically vulnerable and low-income seniors is an effort we can all be proud of.

Opening the Alameda Wellness Campus is a decisive step towards ending the unfathomable suffering, illness, and early death experienced by medically vulnerable people living on our streets. Together, we can ensure their dignity.
As Arnold Perkins, Community Leader & Philanthropy Trustee, inspires us to ask, “Are we not our sisters and brothers’ keepers? Let’s come together to create the world we envision.”
Day one, we will be welcoming unhoused people off the streets and from area hospitals into a safe and loving community. Let’s build a future together shaped by compassion, justice, and healing connections.
